Emerson - Remodel

Kristen has wanted an updated bathroom just the way she wanted it for a while. We started the project with a bathroom/laundry with linolium floor and OK yet old decoration. We started the project by building a laundry chute that runs from the upstairs master bathroom closet to the basement where the laundry now stands with a second entrance to the chute in the mud room area of the first floor. We replaced the floor with slate tile and shell like inserts to accent the door threshold. The walls were redrywalled and wains coating with "nick nack" rail and finished trim added to 4 ft up the walls. The window was replaced and the trim included roses in each corner. In front of the chute and to the right of the 42 inch shower a closet was constructed. All finished trim is knickel and the wood work is semi gloss white and solid blue for the walls. The tile floor was extended out into the coridor to form a mud room area for acess from the rear door with chute access for instant disposal of dirty clothes. Once the bathroom floor was finished, the kitchen just had to be done. Different tiles, yet the same very solid clean effect. Total duration for this job was 13 days.
